Gillmoss Depot Brings Festive Cheer to Local Communities

Over the past few weeks, our Gillmoss depot has been at the heart of the Christmas Toy Appeal, helping to spread festive cheer to children and families across our local communities.

Drivers and colleagues at the depot came together to generously donate toys and raise additional funds through a range of activities, including raffles, “spot the ball” competitions and charity walks. Thanks to their efforts, even more gifts were purchased to support children who may otherwise receive little or nothing at Christmas.

All donations were distributed through local schools and children’s services across Kirkby, Anfield, Speke, Stockbridge Village and Wavertree, ensuring support reached children in care and those who needed it most during the festive period.

Alongside the toy appeal, Gillmoss depot staff also collected food donations for a local school, enabling staff to create food hampers for families in the community. These hampers will provide much-needed support during the Christmas period and help ease some of the additional pressures many families face at this time of year.

We are incredibly proud of the generosity and community spirit shown by everyone involved, whose efforts have helped make a real difference this Christmas.
