  • £2,000 donation to support local families affected by MND
  • Employee fundraising helps drive community impact across Wirral

Stagecoach Birkenhead has donated £2,000 to Motor Neurone Disease Association Wirral Group, reaffirming its commitment to supporting local charities and the communities it serves across the region.

The donation was formally presented at Rock Ferry Depot recently, where a representative from MNDA Wirral met with colleagues to receive the donation and discuss the positive impact it will have on local people and families affected by Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

The donation combines funds raised through Stagecoach Birkenhead’s community initiatives, including contributions from its Good Causes Fund and fundraising activities organised by employees. A long-standing supporter of the charity, Stagecoach colleagues from Chester and Birkenhead have regularly taken part in an annual charity football match to raise both awareness and funds for Motor Neurone Disease.

Matthew Gannon, Operations Manager at Stagecoach Birkenhead said: “We are delighted to support MNDA Wirral with this donation. The charity provides invaluable support to people living with Motor Neurone Disease and their families, and we are proud that our colleagues continue to champion such an important local cause. Giving back to the communities we serve is at the heart of what we do, and we hope this contribution will help make a real difference.”

MNDA Wirral works tirelessly to provide practical, emotional and financial support to people living with the condition, while also supporting family members and carers throughout their journey.
