Drivers great donation

BraddStagecoach Midlands has raised over a £1,000 and a room full of food for a local Northampton foodbank ‘Food Aid Far Cotton’.

Spear headed by Bradd Collis (Health and Wellbeing Champion) and Heather Johnson (Health & Safety Rep); the duo got drivers and staff to donate both food and money for the worthwhile cause.

Bradd said, “I saw an appeal on facebook and thought I should get involved. I put out a message to the team at Northampton and started to get loads of food donations. Heather then roped in the Assistant Operations Managers with the idea that if we raised £500 then they would go out and cover some of the drivers shifts for a day”

He went on “We more than doubled our target. I’m really thankful to everyone who donated. When I dropped off the food they were emotional as they don’t usually get such big donations plus a large cheque”

Food Aid Far Cotton launched on 1st May 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. They recognised there was a real need in Far Cotton, Northampton to support vulnerable families in the community who were facing genuine hardship.
