Proposed sale of Stagecoach

We have announced that we are looking to move forward with a proposal that would see Stagecoach become part of DWS Infrastructure, a highly-regarded international asset management company.  

DWS Infrastructure has a number of existing transport and infrastructure interests in the UK and in Europe, and we both share a strong vision around the benefits of transitioning to a more sustainable world. 

We believe this is a positive step forward for our customers and our people, allowing us to continue to invest in improvements and realise our ambition of becoming a net-zero business.  Under the proposal, Stagecoach would continue to deliver the same high-quality public transport services as one of a wider portfolio of businesses owned by DWS Infrastructure. 

The offer will be open for shareholders to accept once the required documentation has been published and we would expect the acquisition to be completed in the first half of 2022. In the meantime, it continues to be very much business as usual for us and our people. We will continue to work hard every day to provide vital transport services to keep our customers and communities connected.
