Our Armed Forces Covenant Bus

We’ve just unveiled our new bus! Its livery has Armed Forces Covenant branding, in honour of all those who’ve served and continue to serve in the military. 

The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise by the nation to ensure that currently serving Military personnel, Veterans, and their families, are treated fairly. This summer, we received a Bronze Employer Recognition Award from the covenant. This means we’ve been recognised as an employer who supports those defence personnel and Veterans. Our future goal is to achieve Gold employer status!

The special liveried bus is the first of our vehicles to be solely branded in support of the Armed Forces Covenant. It’ll operate in the North West region of England, and will also be at various events throughout the year, including Remembrance and Armed Forces Day.

On Remembrance Day and Armed Forces Day, all Veterans and currently serving military personnel can get free travel on all of our services throughout the UK. We put out more information about this offer at the time.

The branded Armed Forces Covenant bus and our free travel pledge comes from our recently established Veteran employee network. The network has been involved in numerous improvements and changes throughout the company such as revising our reservists policy to better support employees, going to Career Transition Partnership events and attracting service leavers directly from resettlement programmes.
