Celebrating the Coronation

The bunting is going up, scones are nearly ready, and the bank holiday is looming (hopefully with some glorious weather for us all). The King’s Coronation is going to be a massive event across the whole of the UK - of course, we wanted to get involved too! 

We’ve had some fabulous livery specially designed to celebrate the coronation and a few buses will be decked out in regal finery for you to spot when you’re out and about.

 

Cumbria & North Lancashire

The Lake District views are getting a royal glow-up with the introduction of a liveried double-decker bus. There’ll be plenty of opportunities to spot it, as it’ll be making the rounds of various routes in and around Carlisle.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

East Midlands

Our East Midlands team are already famous for their fabulous themed buses – the Skegness Seasiders! But they’re joining the Coronation celebrations with two double-decker buses fit for a King. With two celebratory buses, you’ve got double the chance to spot them on routes around Hull, Lincoln, Grimsby and Mansfield.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Merseyside & South Lancashire

Merseyside is getting the royal treatment! Home to The Beatles, The Liverbirds and now a specially designed Coronation bus. The bus is going to be on various routes, so hop on board and travel in style.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Greater Manchester

When you’re based in the city that brings you Coronation Street, it’s only right that your local Stagecoach team celebrates this Coronation in style! Stagecoach Greater Manchester will have their regal double-decker out on the roads (not just the cobbles!) starting from Hyde. It’ll be taking a royal tour around other depots in Greater Manchester though, so you’re bound to see it soon!

 

 

 

 

 

 

South West

Fancy a royally scenic trip right down the coast? Our Stagecoach South West team have decked out one of their buses in our wonderful stately livery. The Kingly double-decker will be running on the number 12 route, so you can relax and take in the coastal view in style. Make sure to practise your royal wave! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

South Wales

If you’re getting a bus in the Rhondda Valleys, you might be in for a royal treat! To celebrate the coronation and the former Prince of Wales, our Stagecoach South Wales team have added regal livery to one of their fleet. It’ll be on various routes in the region around Porth, so there’s plenty of chances for you to travel in style!
