Santa travels by bus giving reindeer a pre Christmas break

17 Dec 2020

Santa has swapped his eight magical reindeer for a 400 horsepower Stagecoach bus in the run up to Christmas.

Spotted on the Buchan Xpress route this morning, Santa brought smiles to locals in Aberdeenshire after starting his trip from Peterhead depot.

Stagecoach depots in Peterhead and Fraserburgh have donated more than 600 items to local foodbanks and raised £500 for Cash for Kids helping families to enjoy their Christmas.

Peter Knight, Managing Director at Stagecoach Bluebird said: “I was surprised Santa managed to find time to visit us in Peterhead so close to Christmas but it was even better he was able to help out by covering one of our Drivers shifts! I’m really proud of our team for their commitment this year continuing to operate our safe and reliable bus services and we will all look forward to welcoming more of our customers back on board local bus services in 2021.”

Stagecoach services will continue to operate over the festive period to revised timetables available to download now.
