Local Motocross star, Ricky Barrack has secured sponsorship from bus operator, Stagecoach.
Stagecoach initially supported Ricky (8) from Peterhead, after a successful 2019 season where he was crowned Scottish Champion. This year Stagecoach has renewed their support for the 2021 season where Ricky will begin competing at Haverigg in Cumbria on 24th April. The season will continue with local races near Elgin and further afield across the UK and Ireland.
Ricky is no stranger to the Stagecoach Peterhead team with Mum, Katy, and Grandmother, June , both working at the depot. Rickys Dad, James, also completed his mechanical apprenticeship with Stagecoach qualifying with distinction in 2014.
Commenting on the support, Ricky said: “I was really grateful when Stagecoach said they would sponsor me again this year. I’m looking forward to competitions starting and doing the company proud.”
Peter Knight, Managing Director at Stagecoach Bluebird said: “Ricky has shown how dedicated he is to this sport as well as how talented he is with a whole host of championship titles to his name. I would like to wish Ricky all the very best for the 2021 season and look forward to hearing about his achievements this year.”
Ricky’s love for Motocross started at the age of just 5 years old. In 2020 Ricky won the Cumbria Mx Auto Championship and was the 2020 Battle in the Sand Auto Champion. Ricky will compete in the 2021 season in the 65’s.
