From Santas grotto to Christmas parades, mulled wine to festive stalls.

There’s somethings for everyone this Christmas whether you’re having a day to yourself, enjoying family time, or have a date night, here’s some things you can do to feel the magic of Christmas this year.

 

Explore Aberdeen Christmas Village  

After a day of Christmas shopping the Aberdeen Christmas Village is the perfect way to end a festive filled day, with fairground rides, an outdoor ice-skating rink and delicious festive food and drink.

If you’re coming from Portlethen or Inverurie areas, jump on Service 9 and hop off at Union Terrace or Union Square and the Christmas Village is just a short walk from here

 

Santa Specials at Milton of Crathes

Santa will be at the Milton of Crathes again this year.

On arrival at the railway, visitors will receive their refreshments on the platform to take on a steam train ride down the line, where there will also be festive singing.  On their return, the children will receive their presents from Santa in a grotto by the station

Hop on the 202: the bus stops at Crathes Castle gates just opposite Milton of Crathes.

 

Ross County Christmas Market

Looking for the perfect Christmas gift for someone special? Pop down to Ross County Football Club Christmas Market and check out the many stall of handmade gifts and crafts, festive food and drinks. There will be something for everyone.

Coming from Inverness, take our 25 Service to Dingwall and it’s a short walk from the High Street.

 

Alford Christmas Festival

Jump on the 218 service to Alford on Sunday 24^th November and enjoy a festive fun filled day, from the Cairngorms reindeers, Santa’s Grotto, games,  tractors, raffles and much more!

The even is finished off with a parade and the BIG light switch on.

 

Ellon Christmas Parade

Take a trip to Ellon for the BIG light switch on and parade with craft fayres, fun stalls, festive food and drink, and a pipe band leading Santa in the parade. Finish off with a BANG and watch the fireworks over the Ythan.

From Aberdeen, hop on the X60 to Ellon on Saturday 30^th November to join in with all the fun!

 

Inverness Light Switch On

After a day Christmas shopping join the light switch on in the city’s falcon square. The city will be buzzing with live music and entertainment ahead of the Christmas light switch on.

Coming from Aberdeen, Elgin, or Alness jump on the M96 service.

Inverurie Annual Christmas Light Switch On

A festive magical day in Inverurie town centre.

Watch the parade with pipe bands and community groups, live music, funfairs, market stalls, and much more

 

Finish off the evening with the light switch on and fireworks.

Coming from Portlethen or Aberdeen, our Service 9 will take you to Inverurie.
