Stagecoach North Scotland is excited to announce the launch of its new night bus services from Aberdeen, starting this weekend on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th July. These late-night buses will run every Friday and Saturday night, offering a safe, reliable, and affordable way to get home after a night out in the city.

 

The new journeys are on service N6, a west-bound route from Aberdeen to Westhill and Elrick and service N8, heading south-bound from Aberdeen to Portlethen and Stonehaven. Journeys will depart Aberdeen city centre after midnight and run until 2.45am.

To make night travel even more convenient, Stagecoach is also introducing the NightRider ticket, available exclusively on the Stagecoach Bus App, and valid seven days a week from 6pm onwards. With three zonal options, customers can choose the best value for their journey:

 

  • Aberdeen City NightRider – £5 (compared to the DayRider at £5.80) (This ticket is valid in Aberdeen and as far as Dyce, Bridge of Don and Petercutler).
  • Aberdeen City Plus NightRider – £7.50 (DayRider: £8.60) (This ticket is valid in the City zone, and as far as Westhill, Balmedie and Portlethen).
  • Aberdeen Commuter NightRider – £9 (DayRider: £10.20) (This ticket is valid in the City Plus zone, and as far as Ellon, Inverurie, Banchory and Stonehaven).

 

These new tickets are live now and can be purchased only through the Stagecoach app, making it easier than ever to plan a night out without worrying about how to get home. Once activated, customers can use their NightRider ticket on any Stagecoach services after 6pm, within the zone boundaries on their ticket.
