Eastbourne Airbourne, the iconic four-day air show will return in 2023 after drawing one of its biggest crowds in their 28-year history this Summer.
Bus operator, Stagecoach operated a special Park & Ride service for the event, helping to reduce congestion in the town centre and allowing attendants to be dropped off right by the seafront to watch the show.
The service ran every 15 minutes to and from 5 Acre Field all day for spectators to enjoy the show which featured the Red Arrows and a firework display to conclude the event.
The air show made its return after a three-year absence and saw people flock to the Sunshine Coast to see the show, giving a huge boost to the town.
Following the success of the long weekend, James Third, Eastbourne Operations Manager at Stagecoach confirmed that the Park & Ride will be returning for next year’s show.
James Third said: “Our local team are thrilled to have played a part in the return of Airbourne after our town has gone three years without it.
“The show had a phenomenal turnout, and we had an incredible four days with the Park & Ride which we are looking forward to bringing back next year.”
Airbourne will return next year, running from 17th-20th August.
