Thanet Loop timetable changes from 22 February

From Sunday 22 February 2026, the Thanet Loop will return to running every 10 minutes, Monday to Saturday. There will be no changes to the Sunday timetable. 

In June 2024, as part of the launch of the 'Superbus' scheme, Kent County Council introduced government-funded bus priority and reliability improvements along the Loop route.

At the same time, Stagecoach South East increased the frequency of the Thanet Loop from every 10 minutes to every 8 minutes. This was an additional service enhancement funded by Stagecoach South East and we have continued to operate the extra buses needed to provide this increased frequency.

However, while service frequency increased, we have not seen the customers journey numbers grow at the same level. As a result, from 22 February 2026 the service will return to its previous frequency of every 10 minutes.
