Meet Our New Customer Helpers at the Canterbury Bus Station
We’re delighted to introduce two new Customer Helpers who will be based at Canterbury bus station, providing extra support for customers throughout the day.
Jason and Callum are on hand to assist with a wide range of customer needs, from travel information and ticket queries to app support, lost property, and general assistance. Their role is all about making your journey smoother, more informed, and more enjoyable.
Jason – Experience You Can Trust
Jason brings a wealth of experience to the role, having spent 12 years driving buses before progressing to become a controller at Canterbury bus station. With a long history at the company, Jason says returning felt like coming home:
“I came back because this is my family. I know every depot, and I grew up with these passengers.”
Known for his approachable and upbeat personality, Jason thrives on customer interaction:
“I’m good with my customers, laughing, joking. It’s fun.”
His commitment to customer care is evident in the way he goes above and beyond. Whether it’s a quick question or something more detailed, Jason takes the time to sit with customers and make sure they get the help they need. Jason is always ready to help:
“Sometimes it’s just about taking the time to listen, I’ve sat with customers for 20 minutes or more to make sure they leave feeling supported and confident.”
Callum – Passion and Fresh Perspective
Callum joins the team straight from college, where he studied photography, bringing enthusiasm and a genuine passion for buses to the role.
Originally from Faversham, Callum has been around the local transport scene for years:
“I’ve probably seen Jason since I was this big!”
A self-confessed bus enthusiast and photographer, Callum has already built up hands-on experience, from working on the Romney Railway to helping organise bus events and even assisting with the restoration of a classic vehicle.
“It’s been brilliant, I’ve had a really good mentor.”
Now, he’s focused on supporting customers day-to-day:
“We’re here to help, whether something gets lost or someone just needs guidance, we keep people moving.”
