Stagecoach honours veterans with special poppy bus

  • Stagecoach in South Wales is offering free bus travel to Armed Forces personnel carrying ID on Remembrance Sunday
  • Activity supports the British Legion ‘Proud to support our veterans’ messaging


is supporting military personnel, past and present this Remembrance Sunday (10 November 2019). Stagecoach in South Wales

Stagecoach has designed a special poppy wrap for one of its buses which was designed by the Royal British Legion and is operating on the X3 route between Hereford and Cardiff. A contribution has been made to the Royal British Legion, enabling all staff who choose to wear a poppy to do so.

On Remembrance Sunday, Stagecoach in South Wales will also be offering free travel to Armed Forces personnel carrying a military ID card and to veterans wearing the veteran’s badge or pins. There will be posters on board buses encouraging ‘text to donate’.

Remembrance Sunday is a day for the nation to remember and honour those who have sacrificed themselves to secure and protect our freedom.

This year, Cardiff Castle has officially opened the ‘Field Of Remembrance’, every day from 9am to 4pm until 25th November. Full details can be found here:

It is hoped that personnel wishing to pay their respects will take up the offer to travel across South Wales to the event. Services 132, 26, X3, X4,T4,124,136,122,86 operate to Cardiff, you can plan your journey here  or download the stagecoach app.
