16 Sep 2019

Stagecoach in South Wales has supported local football club, New Inn Juniors AFC by sponsoring the football kits for the junior team.

Barri Weaving a driver from Cwmbran depot approached Stagecoach as he was taking part in a charity walk to raise funds for new football kits. Barri’s son currently plays for the New Inn team. Barri raised over £350, which Stagecoach agreed to match fund. The total raised was over £700.

The new kits display the Stagecoach logo and the AFC club logo. Barri presented the kits to the children alongside coach Robert Layland at football practice.

Mark Tunstall, Operations Manager for Cwmbran depot said: “We commend Barri on his great effort to raise money for the New Inn junior team. We feel it’s important to support our staff with their fundraising activities especially when it supports a local charity or good cause. The team look great in their new kits and we wish them the best of luck in their future matches”.
