Stagecoach South Wales Offers Free Travel To Veterans This Remembrance Weekend

07 Nov 2024

Stagecoach South Wales has announced that free travel will be available on all its services across South Wales and the UK for serving military, cadets and veterans on the 10th and 11th of November 2024, in honour of Remembrance Weekend.Poppy Bus

The offer applies to any serving personnel or cadets in uniform, those with a military ID card, and veterans wearing medals or veterans' badges attending remembrance services.

Some Stagecoach buses will be decorated with poppy graphics as a mark of respect. The destination screens on buses will also display a message of support for the Armed Forces.

Stagecoach has also been a member of the Armed Forces Covenant since March 2015. The Covenant recognises the value of serving personnel, regular and reservists, veterans and military families across the country.

Stagecoach’s dedication to offering free travel for the Armed Forces is supported by its employee-led Veterans Network. This network was established to unite Stagecoach employees, giving them a platform to drive positive change, raise awareness, shape business decisions, and implement new initiatives that enhance the company.
Martin Gibbon, Managing Director of Stagecoach South Wales, said: “We’re pleased to be offering free travel to serving military, cadets and veterans for Remembrance Weekend.

We are very proud to employ veterans at Stagecoach South Wales, with many of our colleagues joining our employee Veterans Network which offers support, and this is a fitting tribute to show our appreciation.”
