Guildford and Surrey Changes

15 Dec 2021

We wanted to let you know that we’ll be making some changes to our services in Guildford and Woking from the 20th December.

As with many industries across the country, we are continuing to face a short-term staffing situation due to external factors affecting the wider transport and logistics sector. As a result, this is having an impact on our bus services and we are having to make some timetable changes to ensure customers continue to have reliable services and connections across our most popular routes.

From Monday to Thursday, 20th  to 23rd December our Guildford and Woking services will be running to Saturday timetables, with the exception of the Kite, 47 & Spectrum 100 P&R which will continue to run a weekday service.

Shopper buses which usually run on weekdays will continue to run on their usual day – this includes the 39A, 39B, 39C, 40, 503, 520, 523 & 538. The Stagecoach-operated journey on the 28 will not run.

Service levels for the remainder of the Christmas period are as previously advertised – running a Sunday service on Sundays & Bank Holidays, and a Saturday service on days between Christmas & New Year. Christmas Eve & New Years Eve are a Saturday Service with some buses finishing earlier around 8PM. There will also be a revised Sunday service on services 1 and 2 on Sunday 2nd and Monday 3rd of January.

From Tuesday 4th January 2022 there will be revised timetables with reduced frequency on services 1, 2, 6, 34, 35, 47, 53, 63 & 91 and the Kite.

Full details will be available shortly at

We want to reassure you that we’re doing everything we can to recruit & train more drivers and we’re confident this reduction in frequency on some routes will be temporary. We do hope that these changes to maintain reliability will not cause you too much inconvenience and we thank you for your understanding.
