Employees from Stagecoach South’s Portsmouth depot have taken part in local photographer Olufemi David Olaiyas community exhibition celebrating key workers from around the city.
Olufemi’s community project aimed to give faces to those who worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic in the cities key sectors. The photographs show the ethic and cultural diversity of the workforce.
The team at Stagecoach who took part included Managers, Engineers, Drivers and Supervisors. Marketing Manager Stacey Churton said “We thought it was a great initiative from Femi and we wanted to take part to not only recognise our own team and the key roles they had in keeping the city moving, but those from other sectors who play such important roles within Portsmouth from the emergency services, to teachers and postal and delivery workers.”
The exhibition which was launched at Christmas initially in the Cascades shopping centre, and aimed to bring some light at a time which will be very different to that of previous years. Further exhibition spaces will follow with more photos on display of the cities covid hero's.
