Stagecoach South is proud to support Chichester Culture Spark 2022.
Culture Spark is a programme of creative events taking place between March and October, across Chichester and it’s neighbouring districts. It will include performances and community events to showcase the areas cultural and creative assets.
The initiative was inspired by a number of anniversaries taking place across Chichester’s cultural attractions, these include: the 60th anniversary of Chichester Festival Theatre, 100th anniversary of the Canal Trust, Pallant House Gallery is celebrating 40 years, The Novium Museum and Festival of Chichester are both marking their 10 year anniversary, and lastly the New Park Cinemas International Film Festival is celebrating it's 30 year anniversary.
The aim will be bring together the diverse community groups in the area, to showcase the creative work of the next generation and give everyone (Including every child in the district) the chance the chance to enjoy the cultural experience. It also aims to reanimate the local town centres, encouraging people to visit for longer. Events are taking place across Chichester, Midhurst and Selsey.
Marketing Manager for Stagecoach South, Stacey Churton said:
“We’re passionate about working within our communities in supporting local charities and initiatives. Chichester is home to the Stagecoach South operation and the surrounding area forms a key part of our bus network. We help many of the area’s residents make thousands of journeys each year.
“We’re also providing discounted travel for the programmes opening events at the end of March in Chichester, Midhurst and Selsey. All events are accessible by Stagecoach routes. Event ticket holders can use discount code to purchase a Gold DayRider normally £9.10 at the reduced price of £2.70. It’s hoped this will encourage audiences to take the bus to the events.”
The discount codes for reduced travel are:
Adult Gold DayRider code - CSPARKAD032022
Child Gold DayRider code - CSPARKCD032022
It’s important for us to be involved in helping our communities’ access cultural and artistic events. Stagecoach also shares many of the projects objectives: we want to help reanimate the districts town centres and bring people together again to make things happen. We’re also key to helping bring visitors back into the local districts in a sustainable way. Stagecoach is proud to support Culture Spark 2022.”
