Christmas buses raised over £5,000 for local charities.

Stagecoach South is celebrating, after its Christmas bus campaign raised over £5,000 for local charities.

 

Eight festive single decker buses received a Christmas makeover and were driven by bus staff dressed as Santa, the Elf or in one area Mrs Claus, across bus networks serving Hampshire, Surrey and West Sussex.

 

The overall total raised was £5,806 which has all gone to support local charities

 

Marc Reddy Managing Director for Stagecoach South He said “Our popular Santa bus has become a great tradition for the local communities served. We are delighted to be supporting charities across the area and I’m sure that our customers will be pleased knowing that they have helped raise such an amazing amount for great causes".

 

Charities to benefit from the fundraiser include the Roald Dahls Children's Charity, Shooting Star Children’s Hospices, Winchester Hospice, The Sussex Snowdrop Trust, St Michaels Hospice, Saxon Wood School and Julia’s House, Naomi House & Jacks place.
