Stagecoach South Enhances Blackwater Valley Network with Five New Optare Buses

Stagecoach South has unveiled five brand-new UK built Optare Solo buses, delivering a significant upgrade to the Blackwater Valley bus network. This investment of over £860,000 reflects the company’s commitment to enhancing local transport services and improving the travel experience for the Aldershot community.

The new low-emission buses are designed to offer cleaner, greener travel, reducing environmental impact while delivering reliable and comfortable journeys for passengers. The buses feature an all-new bright interior design, complete with at the seat USB charging ports, plus audio and visual next-stop announcements, making bus services as accessible as possible for all of its passengers. The new buses feature the very latest Euro VI engines which will also help cut emissions in the area, the vehicles represent a step forward in Stagecoach South’s efforts to support a sustainable future for the local area.

To celebrate the launch of the new fleet, the Aldershot depot team, led by Operations Manager Aaron Hodgkiss, hosted a special event to mark this significant milestone.
