Stagecoach West Scotland helped a Kilwinning football club on their way to Norway by donating a coach and driver to take the team to Manchester Airport for a trip of a lifetime. The team are participating in the Norway Cup which is the largest football tournament for youths aged 10 to 19. After much fund raising the team still needed support with transport. Stagecoach West Scotland were happy to oblige donating a driver and coach to take the team to and from Manchester Airport
Team Manager Dan Sweeney said: "Ksc Barca's teams were asked 10 months ago to represent Scotland at this year's Oslo Cup in Norway. The cost for trip was just shy of £14,000, but a trip of a lifetime for the 30 local boys, after lots of fundraising and support from local businesses the dream was within touching distance. With stagecoach's help we managed to clear the final hurdle. As manager of the teams, I would like to thank Stagecoach for donating the transport. They made the difference."
Alison McCluskie, Operations Director, Stagecoach West Scotland said: "We are delighted to offer our support by donating a coach and a driver to take the team to and from Manchester Airport. We wish them every success in the tournament."
