Local girl Megan stars in bus advertising campaign with TV celebrity Jess Wright

• Ayrshire teenager won Stagecoach competition to be in star’s style squad

Ayrshire’s Megan Johnstone is currently starring in an on-bus advert with TV and fashion celebrity Jessica Wright, after winning a competition run by bus operator Stagecoach.

Megan, from Logan in East Ayrshire, was one of four squad members who were chosen from entries from across the UK to take part in the advertising campaign to promote Jessica’s Sistaglam clothing range. Stagecoach launched the competition to celebrate the style of its millions of bus customers across the UK.

All four winners were selected by Jessica at an event in Manchester which celebrated individual style, body confidence and fashion creativity. The winning squad last month enjoyed a two-day trip to London courtesy of Stagecoach where they took part in a photoshoot with Jessica and enjoyed a meal out with the star.

As a result, they now feature in an advert being displayed throughout July on hundreds of buses in different parts of the UK, including the west of Scotland.

Megan and the winning squad members were chosen by Jessica after impressing her with their own sense of style, positive personalities and passion for fashion.

Jessica said: “It’s been fantastic to spend time with our lovely style squad. The girls all looked amazing during our photoshoot and I am so excited that the advert is now displayed on hundreds of Stagecoach buses around the country.   

“This has been a great campaign, celebrating individual style, inner confidence and body positivity and it’s been lovely meeting everyone who has been involved.”

Megan (pictured far left) said : “The whole experience of being part of this campaign has been amazing. From the event in Manchester to the London photoshoot, it has all been fantastic and I’d like to thank Stagecoach for giving us the opportunity. It was lovely to meet Jess and the rest of the squad and we’re all looking forward to seeing our adverts on buses over the next few weeks.”
