Youth Express Wins Silver at UK Bus Awards

22 Nov 2017

Stagecoach West Scotland has won a silver award in the Buses and the Community category for its Youth Express project   at the 22nd annual UK Bus Awards ceremony held in London yesterday (Tuesday 21 November).

The Youth Express is a mobile youth club which visits rural communities across Ayrshire providing a friendly environment for young people to meet.  The former service bus has been completely transformed and features a gaming PC, Xbox One console, Air Hockey table and more to keep young people entertained.

Stagecoach West Scotland, Managing Director, Tom Bridge said: “It’s great to see that our Youth Express has been recognised for the benefit it brings to the local community. The Youth Express is a partnership between Stagecoach and East and South Ayrshire councils and I'm thrilled that individual employees and representatives from the council have been rewarded for all their hard work.”
