Stagecoach West Scotland has confirmed diversion for services between Ayrshire, Dumfries and Glasgow city centre during the UCI Cycling World Championships.
Services will continue to operate in and around Glasgow City Centre and Dumfries, we recommend that customers plan their journey ahead via the Stagecoach Bus App or contacting Traveline Scotland as some journey times may be extended.
Diversions will be in place from Friday 4th August until Sunday 13th August across Glasgow and Dumfries.
Fiona Doherty, Managing Director, Stagecoach West Scotland said: “We’re working hard to ensure that our customers have information to plan for travel to Glasgow or around Dumfries town centre during the championships.
“We would recommend that anyone travelling to and from Glasgow use Buchanan Bus Station, the majority of services will operate from the station as roads across the city centre are closed. Our X19 service to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital will continue to operate to the hospital diverting to the M8 from Killermont Street before returning to its normal route at Govan Underground Station.
“Local services in Dumfries will be diverted between Monday 7th August until Saturday 12th August, a full list of diversions is available on stagecoachbus.com”.
