Stagecoach West Scotland is offering interviews to staff affected by the recent closure of delivery firm Tuffnells, following news that over 2000 jobs are to be lost.
The bus operator has bus driver vacancies available for immediate start at its Cumbernauld and Dumfries depots, as well as vacancies within Ayr, Kilmarnock and Ardrossan depots.
Driver roles are available for both existing PCV license holders and those looking to retrain as a bus driver with a guaranteed 39 contracted hours per week. Training is paid for and new recruits will earn from day one.
Fiona Doherty, Managing Director at Stagecoach West Scotland, said “We understand what a stressful time this must be for those facing redundancy and want to welcome all Tuffnells employees to apply for vacancies at Stagecoach.”
“As a bus operator transporting millions of customers every day, we’re able to offer job security with a great team and excellent rates of pay. Applications will be processed quickly with the aim of getting people back into work as soon as possible.”
