Stagecoach leads UK Bus Awards shortlist for another year in a row

  • UK’s biggest bus operator secures over 40 shortlist nominations  

Stagecoach, the UK’s largest bus and coach operator, has been shortlisted in this year's UK Bus Awards more times than any other operator in the country.

 

The operators West Scotland business has been recognised for Marketing Campaign of the Year for its marketing strategy to encourage over 60s back to bus following the pandemic.  ‘Your ticket to freedom’ aims at encouraging over 60s to return to bus travel after the pandemic by presenting an imaginative and original approach that would change attitudes and attract new customers.


Kilmarnock local Service 1 has been shortlisted for Environmental Innovation, the first fully electric fleet of rapid opportunity charge vehicles in Scotland.  Service 1 represents a remarkable leap forward in environmental consciousness.  With a 15-minute frequency, this project has set a new standard for public transport.

 

The company has nominations in 17 of the potential 21 categories at this year's awards, with a total of 46 individual nominations across these categories. These include the flagship award of Top National Bus Depot.

 

Stagecoach’s regional bus companies have been recognised for achievements in driving improvements for customers and communities, environmental initiatives, growth ingenuity, and marketing excellence. Demonstrating Stagecoach's commitment to continuous improvement which is beneficial to local communities.

 

This follows a fruitful year in 2022 in which Stagecoach teams across the UK won seven gold, six silver, and seven bronze awards.

The awards will be presented at Troxy in London on Tuesday 28th November 2023.
