All aboard Santa’s Grotto Bus as Stagecoach South Scotland brings festive cheer to communities this December

• Festive Santa Bus returns; bigger and brighter and touring Ayrshire, Perth and Fife 

• Families can book free tickets via Eventbrite, with last year’s events selling out quickly 

• Fully decorated grotto-style bus will offer meet-and-greets with Santa, gifts for children and the chance to support local charities 

Stagecoach South Scotland is spreading Christmas cheer across the region as the much-loved Santa’s Grotto Bus returns for 2025; promising a magical festive experience for families. 

Deck the halls with single-deckers and tinsel because Santa’s Grotto Bus transforms a  vehicle into a fully decorated festive grotto, complete with twinkling lights and a special seat for Santa Claus.  

Families will have the chance to meet Santa, receive a small gift and, if they wish, make a donation to a local charity. 

Fiona Doherty, Managing Director for Stagecoach South Scotland, said: 

“The fact we have bus drivers queueing up to get involved tells its own story; this is our opportunity to give something back to the communities we serve across the country and Santa’s Grotto Bus is a magical moment in our year.” 

Tickets are free but must be booked in advance through Eventbrite, and with last year’s activities proving hugely popular, early booking is strongly encouraged to avoid disappointment. 

Santa’s Grotto Bus 2025 tour dates: 

• Saturday 29 November – Kirkcaldy and Prestwick 

• Wednesday 3 December – Saltcoats 

• Friday 5 December – Kilmarnock 

• Saturday 6 December – Perth 

Santa’s Grotto Bus will run alongside Stagecoach’s festive travel campaign, encouraging customers to plan ahead, check Christmas timetable changes and enjoy hassle-free travel during the busy holiday period.
