Stagecoach is helping comedy fans from Ayrshire travel to one of Scotland’s biggest cultural events with a special travel offer during the Glasgow International Comedy Festival.
Running from 11 to 29 March, the festival will feature more than 600 shows across 40 venues in Glasgow, attracting thousands of visitors from across Scotland and beyond.
To help audiences focus on the laughs rather than the logistics, Stagecoach is offering 20% off selected DayRider and Group DayRider tickets when customers book through the Stagecoach Bus App using the code COMEDYFEVER26.
Customers travelling from Ayrshire can use frequent express services including the X76 from Kilmarnock and the X77 from Ayr, providing convenient journeys into and from Glasgow city centre.
Other key Stagecoach routes connecting communities to and around Glasgow include the X24 and X27 from Glenrothes, Kirkcaldy and Dunfermline, the X74 from Dumfries, as well as services 4 and X19 operating in and around Glasgow.
The discounted offer applies to selected tickets including Glasgow City and West Scotland Connect DayRiders, helping customers travel conveniently between communities and the city.
As part of the festival celebrations, Stagecoach has partnered with Now Ayrshire Radio to give listeners the chance to be part of the fun, including ticket giveaways and competitions throughout the festival period.
Festival excitement has already come on board Stagecoach services, with comedian Billy Kirkwood surprising customers on the X76 service with an impromptu stand-up performance during a recent journey.
Travelling by bus offers a convenient and cost-effective way to reach the city during one of Glasgow’s busiest event periods, helping customers avoid congestion and parking pressures while enjoying a relaxed journey to and from the shows.
