Engineering taking place over the Bank Holiday weekend 29 to 31 May

Due to essential engineering works on the track at Hillsborough Corner, a revised service will be in operation on the Yellow and Blue routes from Saturday 29 to Monday 31 May inclusive. 

  • YELLOW trams will operate Meadowhall <> Shalesmoor only
  • BLUE route trams will operate Halfway <> Cathedral or Shalesmoor only (full details in the timetable)

Purple and Tram Train routes are not affected and will operate as advertised.


There will be no dedicated rail replacement bus services operating. Customers affected by these changes may use valid tram tickets on Stagecoach and First bus services in the affected areas. These include;

For customers travelling to or from Middlewood, the closest alternative services are on Worrall Road (57 bus) on Penistone Road (7, 8 and 86 bus) or Hillsborough (81, 82, 52, 52a, 57 buses).
