Stagecoach Yorkshire Operations Manager takes home gold at UK Bus Awards

The coveted “Manager of the Year” title at this year’s UK Bus Awards was awarded to Dawn Murphy, Operations Manager at Stagecoach Yorkshire’s Rawmarsh depot.

The prestigious UK Bus Awards ceremony, held at Troxy in London, is widely regarded as the Oscars of the bus industry.

The “Manager of the Year” award recognises and rewards outstanding performance in middle management in the UK bus industry.

Upon receiving the gold award in the category, Dawn was praised by judges for her passion and commitment to serving the community.

Dawn has over 44 year’s varied experience in the industry, starting her career as an office junior working her way up to running depots across Yorkshire as well as setting up Megabus Italy.

In 2017, Dawn took over the role of Operations Manager at Rawmarsh which at the time was performing very poorly. She has since completely transformed the depot which is set to be the first in South Yorkshire with electric buses in its fleet in 2024.
