Celebrating Pride with new bus

We now have our own brightly coloured Pride bus to promote individuality and celebrate diversity across South Yorkshire and Chesterfield.

The bus will be a regular feature on routes across our area showing our support for Pride.

Bill McCartney, Operations Director at Stagecoach Yorkshire, said: “While often associated with the LGBTQ+ community and rightly so, Pride is about much more than that. It’s about appreciating everyone for the individual that they are and celebrating what makes them unique.”

“We want everyone to know they are welcome and valued on our buses and in our business.”

We are an inclusive employer with a commitment to build an inclusive workforce that represents the customers and communities it serves.

We have a number of ‘employee networks’ within the organisation ranging from the Veterans, parents, multicultural and LGBTQ+.

The networks promote their causes and help educate others within the business so that everyone can have their voice heard.

The new bus will be making appearances at upcoming local Pride events where we look forward to celebrating with our staff and talking to the communities we serve.
