Varsity Final

Customers are advised that on Wednesday 29 March, the Varsity Ice Hockey final will take place at the Utilita Arena.

We expect Yellow and Tram Train route services between University, City and Arena tram stops will be exceptionally busy, particularly before the event. All tram stops between University and Fitzalan Square will also be exceptionally busy from around 5pm.

Although we’ll be providing additional trams between University, Cathedral and Arena before the event, we predict the number of spectators travelling to the event by tram will significantly impact Yellow and Tram Train route trams during the evening peak period.

Customers travelling in or through the area concerned on Wednesday 29 March may wish to consider whether they can travel outside of the busier period. We expect the highest demand for trams will be between approximately 4.30pm and 6.30pm on journeys between University, City and Arena.
