Stagecoach Yorkshire employees shortlisted for top UK bus awards.

• The UK Bus Awards offer national recognition and are thought of as the ‘Oscars’ of the bus industry.
• Based at Stagecoach’s Rawmarsh depot, Operations Manager, Dawn Murphy has been shortlisted for ‘Manager of the Year’ and husband and wife team Robert and Mandy Bilham have been shortlisted as a team for ‘Unsung Heroes’.
  
  

Three Stagecoach colleagues in South Yorkshire have received national recognition for their contributions to the bus industry with shortlists in the prestigious UK Bus Awards 2023.

Rawmarsh depot’s Operations Manager, Dawn Murphy has been recognised with a shortlist in the ‘Manager of the Year’ category.

The ‘Manager of the Year’ award rewards outstanding performance in middle management in the industry. To be considered nominees were required to show exceptional leadership and how they have faced and overcome challenges.

Also based at Rawmarsh depot, Engineering Manager Robert Bilham and Storekeeper Mandy Bilham have been shortlisted for the ‘Unsung Hero’ award.

The Unsung Hero award shines a light on those who are known for their hard-work, loyalty and devotion to duty to keep the wheels turning but may work for years without any recognition.

“I’m incredibly proud of Dawn, Robert and Mandy who are all thoroughly deserving of this national recognition, and I wish them the best of luck at the awards next month.”

Stagecoach, the UK’s largest bus and coach operator, has been shortlisted in this year's UK Bus Awards more times than any other operator in the country.

The awards will be presented at Troxy in London on Tuesday 28^th November.
