Driving Forwards - Barnsley job seekers given chance to try Bus Simulator at recruitment event

A major local employer is set to give job seekers the chance to try out a state-of-the-art Bus Simulator at a recruitment event, in Barnsley, next week.

Barnsley’s biggest bus operator, Stagecoach Yorkshire is holding a Recruitment Day for potential Bus Drivers, from 10.00am until 2.00pm on Saturday 3rd October at its depot on Wakefield Road in the town.

Local people are being invited to attend if you are above 18 and have a full driver’s licence. You can test your skills in a bus simulator, explore a training bus then chat with the team about becoming a Bus Driver. Jakub Renkiel, Duty Manager at Stagecoach Yorkshire, said: “We know that a lot of people are interested getting into driving a bus, and the simulator experience will give them the opportunity to understand what it feels like to drive a bus on the road.
