School Travel 

In addition to our main network, we offer a network of services tailored for school travel in Cumbria. With StagecoachSmart card StudyRider tickets, week, annual & term passes are available to purchase online for these services. Each pass will be loaded onto a StagecoachSmart card and delivered direct to a nominated address within 3-5 working days

We provide the following publicly available school services in Cumbria;

Cumbria StudyRider is valid on any of the school services listed above, plus any other Stagecoach bus service in Cumbria.

*Caldew School U19 RouteRider is available on these services, £22.00 per week. 

College Travel

What you'll need

To buy and use a CollegeRider ticket, you’ll need a valid college photo ID.  When travelling, the name on your ID card must match the name on your ticket.

Furness Academy

The Barrow MegaRider pass is valid for unlimited travel on all Stagecoach services in Barrow:

• Use on the full route on service 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and as far as Park Road on the 6/6A/X6 and service 7.

 The Barrow MegaRider Plus pass is valid for unlimited travel on all Stagecoach services in Barrow:

• Use on the full route on service 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6/6A/X6 and service 7 to Millom.

Carlisle College

The Carlisle MegaRider is valid for unlimited travel on all Stagecoach services in Carlisle:

• Use on the full route on services 61, 62, 63/63A and 67
• Includes travel on service 64 to Crindledyke, 71/93 to Burgh Road, 79/179 to Crindledyke/Houghton, 104 to A6 The Golden Fleece, 300/400/600 to Peter Lane, 553/554 to Cummersdale Road and 685 to A69 Scotby Road End.

Kendal College

The North West MegaRider Gold pass is valid for unlimited travel on all Stagecoach services in the North West:

• Valid on all services in Cumbria as far as Dumfries (79), Newcastle (685)
• Valid on all services in Lancashire as far as Blackpool (42/61/68), Blackburn (59), Bolton (125), Chester (1/2), Wigan (113).

Lakes College

 The West Cumbria MegaRider Plus pass is valid for unlimited travel on all Stagecoach services in West Cumbria.

• Use on all services in Whitehaven, Workington & Maryport.
• Includes travel to Maryport (30 & 300), Thornhill (30), Frizington (30), Cockermouth (600, X4/X5), Holmrook (X7)

The North West MegaRider Gold pass is valid for unlimited travel on all Stagecoach services in the North West:

• Valid on all services in Cumbria as far as Dumfries (79), Newcastle (685)
• Valid on all services in Lancashire as far as Blackpool (42/61/68), Blackburn (59), Bolton (125), Chester (1/2), Wigan (113).
