Concessionary

Concessionary

It’s all happening on the bus.

It’s where friendships are made and rekindled. It’s where books become dogeared and newspapers are perused. It’s where you get to visit wonderful places. From here, there, and everywhere in-between. And the best bit? It could be FREE.

If you have a free concessionary travel pass, dig it out and start planning your journey

Reconnect with family

Get out and about with friends

Go to all of your favourite places

……. because nothing beats being there.

If you are approaching or have reached female state pension age and you don't already have a concessionary pass, you can check if you are eligible and apply online here.

Or you can contact your local library or council for more information here

With an older person’s bus pass, you can explore Northamptonshire and Warwickshire between 09:30 and 23:00 on weekdays for free.  And it’s free all day at weekends and bank holidays!.

If you are planning on going further afield some local councils have different rules on when you can use your pass – just check these out on the local council’s page here before you plan to travel.

You can travel for free anywhere in England, including London on local bus services, but free travel is not available on tourist buses or coach services like megabus and National Express.

Travel with confidence

Not got back on board yet? Don't worry, we want to reassure you that we’re still working hard to keep you safe so that everyone can travel with confidence.

We are encouraging you to keep wearing a face covering in crowded spaces, if you can. Let's be kind and respect each other's personal choice.

We’re sticking to our daily deep cleans and enhanced cleaning throughout the day, focusing on the parts of the bus you’re most likely to touch. Our drivers also make regular checks of their vehicle to remove any litter that’s been left behind.   Making sure there’s good ventilation on board is really important so we’re opening all windows and fitting devices to keep them open.

On our app you can see the estimated busiest and quietest times to travel with our space checker. This feature puts you in control of when to travel during these current times, letting you travel with confidence.
