Back Stagecoach, We've got you
cleaner greener new electric buses

Stockton EV

We are excited to announce that brand new electric buses are starting to arrive across the Tees Valley region.

Through the Enhanced Partnership in place with Teesside local bus operators, Tees Valley Combined Authority have ambitions to fully decarbonise our local bus fleet.

Last year, funding was successfully secured funding through the Governments Zero Emission Bus Regional Area (ZEBRA) scheme. Further to this, Stagecoach are thrilled to announce through the ZEBRA investment, the whole Stockton depot will be fully electrified, making it the first fully electric depot in the North East.

This investment will bring significant benefits to passengers; enabling cleaner, quieter and more enjoyable journeys across the region. We will continue to work collaboratively to celebrate and promote this investment and the expansion of zero emission buses across the region.

The New Vehicles Will:

- Save over 270,000 lbs of carbon emissions per year per vehicle, that's a total of 18.4m lbs overall.

- Have a range of over 250 miles on one charge.

- Bring more comfort through air conditioning, e-leather seats and charging ports

- Deliver better accessibility for physically, audio and visually impaired customers.

- improved reliability with less breakdowns and off the road time.
