Discounted bus tickets for Theatre goers

Stagecoach is happy to announce a new partnership with Newcastle Theatre Royal, looking to improve access to live theatre performances.

We are offering a 40% discount on Newcastle DayRider and Tyne & Wear DayRider PLUS tickets for all Theatre goers for the day of the performance, which can be used all day (meaning even if you are going to an evening performance you get unlimited bus travel throughout that day). This discount will be given to anyone who books a Theatre ticket via the Theatre Royal.

Helping local schools by providing transport.

As part of this partnership, we are also arranging free bus travel to the Theatre Royal for selected schools who otherwise wouldn't be able to enjoy these performances. The collaboration started in February 2026, aiming to remove transport cost barriers for selected schools so pupils can attend curriculum-linked theatre shows at the venue.
