Dotto - Eastbourne's Mini Train

Eastbourne's Iconic Dotto Train is back! 

Serving the Sunshine Coast once again, the iconic land train returns on Saturday 5^th April 2025. Take a picturesque and enjoyable ride along Eastbourne seafront on our Dotto train.

Our trackless mini train is suitable for everyone, but it is especially loved by children.

When does the Dotto run? 

Buses run along the seafront everyday from Saturday 5^th  April to Friday 31^st October 2025.

Dotto will not operate from the 14th - 17th August due to the Eastbourne Airbourne show. 

Where can I catch the Dotto?

Unfortunately, as a result of significant roadworks taking place on Grand Parade on Eastbourne Seafront, we are unable to operate the full length of the Dotto route for the time being. We expect to return to the normal route by the Easter Weekend.

In the meantime, Dotto will be operating from Sovereign Harbour to The Pier - then return back to Sovereign Harbour as per the advertised timetable. The section between The Pier to Holywell Café will not be served.

We're sorry for any disappointment and inconvenience this may cause, but it is sadly unavoidable due to necessary highway improvement works by East Sussex County Council

Dotto is a turn-up-and-go service which operates on a first-come-first-serve basis. Pre-booking is not available.

How much is a ticket for the Dotto train?

We have a range of Dotto Train tickets to suit you from singles, DayRiders and Group Ticks. With a Dotto Group DayRider for just £14 for up to five people, working out at just £2.80 per person!
