New electric buses are coming to the Dover Fastrack route!
Want a quiet, comfy seat to watch the world go by? People of Dover, we've got you.
From Monday 23rd February 2026, five brand-new electric buses will be gliding ever so quietly onto the Dover Fastrack route.
Running between Dover Priory Station and Whitfield, it's the final step in cementing Dover Fastrack as South Kent's first zero-emission, all-electric, rapid bus transit system with funding from the Homes England grant (awarded to Dover District Council through the Housing Infrastructure Fund designed to help stimulate new housing growth in Whitfield and at the former Connaught Barracks site), Dover District Council, the Department for Transport's Zero Emissions Bus Regional Areas (ZEBRA) scheme secured by Kent County Council, and investment from Stagecoach South East to purchase the new electric buses.
A better Fastrack for Dover
The Dover Fastrack service first launched on 17 November 2024 and started an extended timetable on 8 December 2025, making it easier to catch the bus after the last high speed train arrives at Dover Priory from London St Pancras.
These new buses complete the plans lead by Kent County Council, working with Dover District Council and Stagecoach South East, to deliver a bus service that works better for the people who use it everyday.
