Dreamland Margate*
One of the oldest surviving amusement parks in the UK, Dreamland Margate is a world-class visitor attraction offering all the fun of a festival for the whole family. Screamland: Experience the darker side of Dreamland as the park is turned into ghoulish world of terrifying scare mazes and macabre characters on selected dates from 18th October to 1st November, with new faces, new maze locations and new terrors in store for 2019.
Getting there by bus...
Dreamland is served by route 8 buses between Canterbury and Margate up to every 15 minutes during the daytime, with buses until 22:15 in the evening. The buses have free WiFi and charging points too! Plan your journey here.
Faversham Brewery Tour*
The award-winning guided tour takes visitors around the Faversham Brewery site to learn about the ancient art of brewing. See brewing and fermentation vessels; taste natural mineral water from the brewery’s well; try some malted barley and smell locally-grown Kentish hops. The 80 minute tour ends back in the Visitor Centre with a tutored tasting of Shepherd Neame’s Kentish ales and speciality lagers, before visitors have the chance to visit the Brewery Shop and pick up a souvenir, gift or some of their favourite beer!

Stagecoach ‘Triangle’ buses serve Wildwood every 15 minutes throughout the day. The buses run from Canterbury, Whitstable and Herne Bay. Triangle buses towards Herne Bay stop right outside Wildwood Animal Park too! Triangle buses also have free WIFI and USB charging points. Plan your journey here.
The Towers Escape Room
Located in one of Canterbury’s oldest and most prominent landmarks, One Pound Lane offers a night of escapism in The Towers Escape Room. Set within Canterbury’s original former city gaol built in the 1830s; making it the perfect setting for your escape room experience. Attend University of Kent or got some friends that do? Jump on a Uni1 or Uni2 bus to the campus. Uni2 buses head back to the city centre until 4am!
Treasure Trail
The deal treasure hunt is approximately 2.4 miles long and takes around 1.4 hours to complete. You will be provided with a map before heading out on a self guided treasure hunt, perfect as a way of exploring the town. It is suitable and fun for all ages and includes the chance to win £100 as all correct answers are entered into a monthly draw. They offer a mobile phone text service for clue answers if you are to get stuck.

The treasure trail starts at West Street which is a short walk from the main bus stop at Queen Street in Deal town centre. From Canterbury you can use route 12 and from Whitfield you can use bus routes 12 or 90.To plan your bus journey, use the Stagecoach journey planner here.
