18 Ale Way
The Ale Way micropub stocks a continually changing line of
independent real ales, fresh craft beers and delicious ciders - many of which
are locally brewed. You'll also find a variety of specialist cans and bottles
from various destinations. A small selection of soft drinks, red and white wine
and a house gin is available for those not yet a fan of beer. Although a wet
led establishment there are occasional team-ups with local restaurants for an
on site, dine-in experience.
Housed in part of the station building the seating
inside is on two floors with the majority being on the first floor. The bar can
be found in a snug on the ground floor. The rooms have been tastefully
renovated to preserve a railway feel. There is in addition some outside tables
overlooking the platform where you can watch the trains.
So, whether you're passionate about beer or just
looking for somewhere to enjoy a cosy atmosphere and lively conversation, head
over to The Ale Way at Axminster Station where the hosts Gordon & Theresa
will give you a warm welcome.

19 Axminster Inn
The Axminster Inn is a friendly traditional pub, lying just off
the town centre, with a real log fire for the winter months, and a lovely
enclosed beer garden to enjoy in the warmer weather. It is a Palmers house,
offering a good range of their real ales and ciders. Live music is featured,
including Local Bands, Solo Artists, and Country & Folk (see website). Free
Wi-Fi is available, and there is a skittle alley and dartboard. Children are
welcome until 7pm, and the pub is dog friendly. 2022 Branch NBSS and Pub of The

20 Castle Inn
Reopened and redecorated in May 2021 by Paul and Sharon, this
old fashioned looking public house is full of surprises and has plenty to offer
its patrons.
A traditional drinking bar offers live sports,
live music, board games and a warm welcome, and a restaurant area seats 14-16
people with a relaxed lamp and mirror decor.
There is also a large garden, newly decorated in
2022, with smoking and non smoking areas.
The Castle offers lots of individuality throughout
the building, with local crafts, arts and quirky touches like its Charity Wall
and King and Queen.
Food is all home cooked on site with gluten free,
vegetarian and vegan options available.
The bar and garden are dog friendly, with children
also welcome when eating with families.

21 Lamb Inn
Traditional local half a mile from the town centre. The single
room interior has a comfortable bar area for dining and playing pool, plus a
large-screen TV that often shows sports. There is a spacious garden with two
boule pistes, and a heated smokers' shelter. The landlady's pub fare is very
good and exceptional value for money. Now enhanced with a lovely new restaurant
overlooking the scenic Axe Vale; food served 12-3 and 6-9pm. No dogs please
because the resident dog gets very jealous.
