Following a combined investment from Stagecoach and Surrey County Council, these buses will improve bus services for local communities, and provide vital sustainable transport links for Blackwater Valley and Surrey.

Will the buses be going onto other routes?

No, the new electric buses will only be introduced on routes 1 (Aldershot to Camberley) and 20 (Aldershot to Guildford). 

When will there be electric buses on other routes?

With our national goal of achieving a zero-emission fleet by 2035, we're looking forward to investing further in new electric buses in partnership with local authorities. Watch this space for new investments in your local area. 

Why were these bus models chosen?

Our buses went through an in depth selection process and were selected for the best reliability, ensuring buses are in the right place at the right time for our customers. We're pleased to say we've have no issues with the vehicles so far!

Who paid for the buses?

The buses and new electric charging infrastructure was purchased with investment from Stagecoach, and Surrey County Council using funding from the Surrey Greener Futures scheme. 

Are there any benefits for the driver?

Yes! The new buses focus on enhancing comfort, safety and ease of operation for our drivers, with mirrorless camera systems and magnetic cab-door systems. Improved safety and less rattling means a smoother experience for our drivers and our customers.
