New ticket options will make it easier for customers to choose the right ticket for their journey

The changes form part of our annual fare review and include new and updated ticket products, alongside changes to fares and online pricing.

The Day Rider will become a Day ticket, Mega Rider will become a 7 Day ticket, and the Oxfordshire Country ticket will become the Oxfordshire Rural ticket. The Xtra ticket will also be withdrawn from sale.

A new 28 Day ticket will be introduced across Stagecoach West, providing regular travellers with a discounted alternative to purchasing four 7 Day tickets. The new ticket will be available exclusively through the Stagecoach Bus App.

Online discounts will be withdrawn, aligning online prices with on-bus prices. Point-to-Point Single fares will increase across all routes, with most adult singles below £3 increasing by up to 10p and most child singles increasing by 20p–30p. The £3 single fare cap will remain in place.

Point-to-Point Return fares will be withdrawn, with customers able to use two single fares or choose a Day ticket instead. Day tickets will increase by between 40p and 60p, while most 7 Day tickets will increase by between £1.80 and £2.80.

Most Academic Year tickets will increase by around £20 across the year, while most Term tickets will increase by approximately £15.

The changes reflect increases in the cost of operating bus services and will help support the long-term financial sustainability of Stagecoach services, enabling continued investment in the customer experience.

Customers purchasing tickets before 1 September for travel after that date will continue to benefit from current prices, subject to the existing terms and conditions.

The Government’s £3 fare cap remains in place until the new £2 fare cap takes effect from January 2027, with further details on this scheme expected to be provided in the coming months.
