Great value bus travel continues, with single journeys capped at no more than £3*
Bus travel is still a great value way to get from A to B
We're taking part in the National Bus Fare Cap scheme which means that from 1st January 2025, a single bus journey in England will be capped at a maximum of £3 - yes that's less than a cup of coffee from a high street café.
Will all single journeys cost £3?
£3 is the maximum you will pay. Lots of journeys will cost less - in fact most of our single fares across England will be less than £3, offering great value on everyday trips especially within towns and cities. For those longer journeys, the fare cap ensures you will never pay more than £3 for a single trip.
Even better news is that in all of our locations we still have single fares for less than £3
What are the ticket prices across Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Wiltshire and Swindon?
We have 3 single ticket prices, and this will depend on where you are travelling.
Journeys within towns are capped at £2.80 in Cheltenham, Chippenham, Cirencester, Dursley, Gloucester, Stroud and Swindon. Tewkesbury is capped at £2.10
Here’s how it works in Gloucester:
What are the ticket prices in West of England Combined Authority (Bristol, Bath & South Gloucestershire)
We have 2 single ticket prices, and this will depend on where you are travelling:
- If you are making a trip in Bristol or Bath, you will pay no more than £2.40 for an adult single
- If you are exploring further your fare will be capped at £3
