In line with the latest government guidance, we've put in place further measures in England to help customers practice social distancing. This includes limiting the available seats on buses.
Face coverings are compulsory when using public transport in England and Scotland. In Wales you must wear a 3 layer face covering on public transport and put it on before travelling unless you are exempt. It is also now compulsory to wear face coverings when using indoor public transport hubs in England only.
The safety of our customers and employees is our priority, so please avoid busy times, use contactless payment and take your litter with you. For up to date information see our Coronavirus page

The bus was designed and built after the people of Cumbria voted to say they wanted to see more themed buses in the region to help add colour to bus journeys. The survey, run by Censuswide, spoke to over 1,500 people in the region.
To create festive fun, the bus has been decorated with tinsel, stockings, candy canes, faux snow and plenty of Santa goodies! It is hoped the festive bus will encourage passengers to make the most of the Christmas season and also help passengers reduce their carbon footprint by choosing to leave their car at home.
Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire managing director, Mark Whitelocks, said; “The results of the survey showed our passengers wanted to see themed buses in the region, so we couldn’t wait to get to work on our Christmas bus. Sitcom Soldiers helped us to develop it and we were delighted with the final result – it’s great to hear positive feedback from people across Cumbria too!"
