Stagecoach East Midlands has today announced that they will be improving the frequency of their services 6, 7 and 16, that connect Bull Farm, Ladybrook, Oak Tree, Forest Town and Clipstone to the Town Centre.

The change, which comes into effect on Monday 1 September 2025, will provide and increased frequency on the routes, to enable better connectivity on these popular corridors for commuters to places of work and for leisure activities.

These service enhancements will be funded by Nottinghamshire County Council’s Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) in partnership with Stagecoach.

On weekdays and Saturdays, buses will run up to every 20 minutes, giving an extra bus every hour to these areas. This will mean shorter wait times and greater flexibility for commuters, shoppers, and those attending appointments.

Dave Skepper, Commercial Director of Stagecoach East Midlands, said: "We're delighted to announce this significant improvement to our Mansfield bus network. By introducing better frequencies, we're making using the bus a more convenient and attractive option for the communities we serve.

“We are always listening to community feedback and working with our partners to enhance local public transport options."

Derek Higton, Executive Director for Place at Nottinghamshire County Council, said: “We are proud to be working alongside Stagecoach to bring these service improvements to Mansfield passengers and this is a great example of how we work with local bus operators to make services better for the benefit of passengers. These new timetables doubling the frequency of some of Mansfield’s core bus routes are the first stage of an ambitious program of investment in Mansfield’s bus network, paving the way in the next 12 months for electric buses through Zero Emission Bus Regional Area 2 (ZEBRA2) funding.”
