Stagecoach to deliver enhanced late-night travel to support fans watching Oasis take centre stage.
Stagecoach East Scotland is encouraging music fans to choose greener, hassle-free travel by bus as tens of thousands get ready to attend the highly anticipated Oasis reunion concerts at BT Murrayfield Stadium on 8, 9 and 12 August.
The bus operator is putting on additional late-night return services to ensure fans can get home safely after the shows. This is part of a wider effort to support sustainable travel into and out of the city during major events, and to help gig goers enjoy the night without worrying about congestion, parking or expensive taxis.
Dedicated Express services from Fife and the wider area will take fans directly to Edinburgh city centre. From there, Murrayfield Stadium is a short onward journey by tram, local bus or by walking.
After the concerts, Stagecoach will have extra capacity and late-night departures available across its East Scotland network to help people get home comfortably.
David Frenz, Interim Managing Director of Stagecoach East Scotland, said:
“We’re proud to support fans from across the region travelling to what promises to be an unforgettable series of monumental gigs.
“These events will live forever in the memory and we’re here to make the experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible: getting Oasis fans there in good time and home again without the stress.
“Taking a Stagecoach bus is a smart, sustainable choice and a great way for fans to attend the gigs without crying their heart out at the sight of long queues of traffic at the end of the night.”
