After returning from a 13-year hiatus last year, The Bruce Festival returns to Pittencrieff Park in Dunfermline on Saturday 31st May and Sunday 1st June after the overwhelming success of last year's event.

The two-day event celebrating all things Robert the Bruce is free to attend and suitable for all the family. Last year, over 18,000 people flocked to see and take part in medieval magic, which included jousting, battles, kids’ activities, music, falconry, medieval crafts and more, all of which can be expected once again this year.

The event’s organisers, Dunfermline Events, are encouraging attendees to use public transport this weekend. Throughout Dunfermline, Stagecoach’s Electric Network allows customers to travel quickly and sustainability into the city centre, and for those travelling from further afield, connections are available at Halbeath Park & Ride from across East Scotland using Stagecoach’s Express network services.

To plan your journey to Dunfermline, download the Stagecoach Bus App, where you can also travel live bus times and buy tickets before you board.

Billy George, Dunfermline Events said, “We’re delighted Stagecoach are supporting the festival. With such large visitor numbers expected, it makes sense to avoid the hassle of driving and parking and just hop on board the bus instead. We’re looking forward to putting on another great event this year and hope to see you all there.”

David Frenz, Interim Managing Director for Stagecoach East Scotland said: “We’re delighted to see the Bruce Festival encourage their festival attendees use our services to get to and from the event. We look forward to seeing happy festival goers using Stagecoach services getting to and from the event when the festival gets under way.”
